About the preceptor Letta is looking for:

Located near Elkridge, MD.

Hello,

I want to introduce myself and thank you for taking the time to review this communication. My name is Letta Jackson. I am a current MSN-PH student at Grand Canyon University and an MSN-AGACNP student at Herzing University.

As an experienced nurse, I have worked as an ICU RN for 5½ years in trauma, medical and surgical ICUs. I started my nursing career in 2016 as a CNA and got my associate's degree in nursing in 2018. I bring my knowledge and skills to the nurse practitioner student role and your clinic setting. Over the years, I have forged successful interprofessional relationships with all healthcare team members.

I have proficient clinical reasoning skills and work well in environments where competing priorities may exist. My successes in clinical environments have provided me with a solid foundation for a student-preceptor relationship in your organization.

I am seeking to establish a relationship with an available preceptor in your setting for my upcoming clinical rotation for the 2024 Fall Semester. During that clinical rotation, I will be required to complete fifty hours. My preceptor must be a master-prepared NP, PA, or MD with acute care/internal medicine experience. I will be completing my practicum for eight weeks. I am available to travel to any state. If I could be precepted by a member of your clinical staff, I would work a schedule amenable to both the preceptor and the clinic workflow needs.

A copy of my resume/CV for your review and consideration upon request

I would happily schedule an appointment with you or any potential preceptors in person or via a virtual meeting platform. That would allow you to interview me to assess my suitability for clinical experience in your setting.

Please let me know if there exists the possibility of a live connection and being hosted in your clinical setting for my upcoming clinical course.

I look forward to your review and response.

Respectfully,

Letta Jackson
