Announcing the 2019-2020 School Nurse of the Year:

Connie Johnson of Stevensville

Connie had NINE letters submitted on her behalf that spoke to her dedication and tireless service as a school nurse.  The letters proved that without a doubt Connie is a real example of a professional 21st-century school nurse.  It was a true pleasure to read Connie’s nomination letters and see how much her District respects and appreciates her.  Her nominators highlighted her work in many areas that exemplified the Framework of 21st Century School Nursing.  They spoke of Connie’s ability to manage a high number of Type 1 Diabetics, she was praised for her facilitation of reproductive health classes that are evidence-based and well received by students, she was the driving force in the implementation of an employee wellness program, and so much more.

“I often say that I work with a team of outstanding professionals and with the best school nurse in the world.  Connie Johnson is extremely knowledgeable, profoundly competent, delicately professional, entirely confidential, unquestionably kind, compassionate, consistently friendly, easy-going, reliable, punctual, and meticulous.”  -Jessica Shroud, Stevensville Primary School Principal

Connie is very deserving of this award and the acknowledgment of being School Nurse of the Year!  Please join me in congratulating her on this accomplishment.
